Aran Island Ferries offer the most affordable way to travel to all three of the Aran Islands, Inis Mór (Inishmore), Inis Meáin (Inishmaan) and Inis Oírr (Inisheer)
Please see our ticket prices below for our ferry departures from Rossaveel, Co. Galway, which is approximately a 1-hour drive from Galway City Centre. Ferry tickets can be purchased on our booking page.

Family rates may be booked by contacting our office. Family rates are not bookable via our website.
Child fares apply to children 5 to 12 years old inclusive. Children under 5 travel free but must be pre-booked, or added to your online booking by phone or email .
Please ensure this is done at time of booking as otherwise there may not be capacity to accommodate them on the day of travel and they must be included in our passenger numbers.
Student fares apply to anyone over the age of 13 years in full time education. Valid ID required for third level students. Prices shown are for the full fare.

SHUTTLE BUS
We provide a shuttle transfer between Galway City and the ferry terminal in Rossaveel for all of our scheduled sailings (please see timetable). The Aran Island Ferries shuttle bus departs from Victoria Place located just off Eyre Square (see map). If you are not taking the shuttle bus, you must make your own transport arrangements. The shuttle bus connection must be booked a minimum of 12 hours in advance to avoid disappointment.

Please note that your tickets are included on your booking confirmation unless you are travelling on a Free Travel Pass (FTP). FTP holders must collect their tickets from one of our Galway City offices. Please allow extra time in peak season.
We recommend you present for boarding at bus stop 20 minutes prior to bus departure time.
The buses cannot carry bicycles or pets or cargo.
BIKES
We have limited space for bicycles on the ferry so we recommend that you pre-book the space with us when booking your ferry ticket. The cost for a return transfer of a standard manual bike is €15.00 (€8.00 one way) on our Rossaveel route. We do not carry any Electric/Motorised Bike, or bikes that weight over 20kg. Passengers carrying bikes must sign a waiver prior to booking.
FREE TRAVEL PASSES
If you are over 66 years of age and you permanently live in the State, the Free Travel Scheme allows you to travel for free on certain transport services. The Scheme is subject to the following terms & conditions:

If you qualify for a Free Travel Pass and you are married you may get a Free Travel Pass that allows your spouse to join you for free when you are travelling with them

You may be eligible to get a Free Travel Companion Pass if you are medically assessed as unfit to travel alone – this type of pass allows any one person, aged 16 or over, to accompany you for free, when you are travelling with them

Only the named person can use the Free Travel Pass, you cannot let another person use it

To travel for free you must always produce your Free Travel Pass for inspection to the ferry operator

You and your accompanying spouse / companion may also need to produce evidence of identity at the terminal gate, by producing a sample of your signature(s) and/ or photographic identification
Free Travel Pass may be taken and returned to the Department of Social Protection if there are good reasons for suspecting that it is being misused.

Please note that Aran Island Ferries do not post tickets or vouchers. These can be collected prior to sailing from any of our ticket offices.
