TedFest 2020
Heaven for Father Ted fans. The tickets will go fast, so hurry.
Given that TedFest is incredibly popular every single year, we knew that tickets to this year's festival that celebrates Craggy Island's finest would be hard to get.
However, we think that treachery is also afoot this year.
We all know that Father Billy O'Dwyer - better known as The Spinmaster - has a serious gambling addiction and we've got grounds to believe that he bought 2,000 festival tickets that he plans on selling on eBay. After all, how else would be pay those debts?
We've got Sergeant Hodgins investigating the case.
Anyway, there is some good news though because the official programme for TedFest 2020 has been announced and the final tickets are also on sale.
TedFest is returning to Inis Mór in the Aran Islands on 20-23 February and it's strictly for those that love ecumenical matters.
Cowboys, Ted! Cowboys need not visit the island.
In terms of the official programme, patrons can attend the annual Lovely Girls Competition, Ted's Got Talent, The Celibate Olympics, Matchmaking with Nellie, an All-Priests Dance Off, The Nuns & Neon Old Grey Whistle Test Rave, A Fistful of Mustard -The Shootout of Giant Tools, The Pan Asian Zen-Off, the Father Ted Prize-less Quiz, the Craggy Cup, Blind Date and lots more.
Aside from this, Trad for Trocaire will surely bring out the dancing priests while raising some money for a good cause.
We're assured that the money will not be "resting" in anyone's account for an extended period.
In terms of the guests that will be attending, Father Damo (Joe Rooney) will finally settle the eternal debate about which band is best – Oasis or Blur - while Eoin McLove (Patrick McDonell) will also be back to TedFest this year to host Blind Date.
The majority of tickets for TedFest 2020 went on sale in September 2019 and sold out in record time. However, more tickets have now been available thanks to a miracle that's akin to the works of The Holy Stone of Clonrichert.
Essentially, tickets can only be released based on the availability of accommodation on Inis Mor.
It has now been confirmed that some newly built chalets/Pods on the island will be ready in time for TedFest, so a final batch of 50 tickets for TedFest 2020 have now been released here.
To paraphrase Mrs Doyle's horrific pun, it's bound to be tea-riffic.
